General Requirements

Our admissions requirement for admission is that you have a high school diploma, home school or GED certificate from an accredited institution recognized by the Department of Education. All degree programs require assessment using the standard Accuplacer exam prior to acceptance


Our Admissions representatives will assist and guide you during your career counseling interview,we will also give you information about our student services, faculty, equipment, hours of instruction and give you a tour of the college campus

General Requirements

Grants and Loans

International Business College is an approved institution for Student Financial Assistance. Funds are available to qualified applicants from:

  • Federal Pell Grants
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants
  • Federal Stafford Loans

In order for you to receive financial aid you must be a United States citizen, US National, or eligible non-citizen; or you must be enrolled in an eligible program to obtain a certificate; making satisfactory progress; and have a high school diploma.

International Business College Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited high school within the current school year.
  • Graduated with a 2.5 GPA or 75% GPA or higher (Official High School Transcript required)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • One page essay describing career goals. The essay must be typed or printed.
  • Completed Scholarship Application
  • Deadline: December 31st of the year the student graduates high school

Application Submission

At least 15 days prior to the student’s desired start date the applicant must submit the required documents to their admissions representative.

Career Services

To the extent possible, the school will assist you in securing temporary part-time employment to help defray a part of your expenses while in school. While International Business College does not guarantee placement following graduation, reasonable efforts will be made to assist you in securing suitable employment upon your graduation. The success or failure of our placement efforts will be influenced to a great extent by your attendance and academic records and by other personal factors.

The college provides placement assistance including but not limited to:

  • Career Development
  • Conducting an employment orientation that will provide the essential information relating to application, personal data sheets (résumés), job interviews, and other placement related subjects;
  • Assisting with application and employment forms;
  • Preparing transcripts for prospective employers;
  • Helping to secure interviews with prospective employers;
  • Contacting employers to identify job openings;
  • Contacting prospective employers after interviews;
  • Providing information concerning employment opportunities with local, state, and federal agencies.

Our placement services are offered to graduates and employers.

VA Education and Military Discounts

VA Education Benefits

International Business College is approved by Texas Veterans Commission to offer instruction to veterans, to service members, to dependents and survivors of veterans and other eligible persons.

A veteran's eligibility for educational assistance benefits cannot be determined until VA receives satisfactory evidence of the Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD form 214) indication when they were seperated from service.

A formal application for admissions to the institution should be completed before an application for VA benefits is submitted. Once VA benefits have been approved; students must report any changes in his/her schedule, program, or any changes that affect their education to the school director.

Military Discount

International Business College appreciates the men and women who serve in the military and sacrifice their lives daily for our country. In their honor, the college will offer them a 10% discount in any program over 1000 hours. This discount is offered to any person serving in the U.S Military, Veterans, and their dependents (who hold current dependent ID.)
