The Paralegal applies his or her knowledge of the law and of legal procedures in rendering direct assistance to a lawyer in the form of legal research; preparation and interpretation of legal documents; assistance in the courtroom or at trial; client interviewing and investigation; and document organization and calendaring. Students completing the Associate Paralegal/Legal Support Degree will be eligible to apply to the various National Paralegal Associations that offer certification.
