The Associate of Applied Science Construction Management with Solar Power program trains students in the fundamentals of construction management, Solar Photovoltaic, Solar Thermal, electricity and weatherization techniques. Students in this field learn to develop skills in engineering support and construction. Classes cover topics that include residential and commercial solar power generation. Students learn structural engineering, electricity to include Photovoltaic and plumbing. Students learn the importance of applying building and safety codes. Students learn to use various hand and power tools, drills, saws, ladders, and safety gear in the fields mentioned above. This program prepares individuals to test after graduation for the entry level test in NABCEP – Entry level Photovoltaic (Solar Electric) and Solar Thermal (Solar Hot Water). Upon completion students will receive an Associate of Applied Science Construction Management With Solar Power degree.
Upon successful graduation from this program, graduates should be able to;
