Course Description

Associate of Applied Science Business Administration and Management program prepares students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for careers as entry level managers. This program provides students with a solid business core that includes basic knowledge in marketing, finance, accounting, and management; an understanding of the business environment to include understanding of legal, economic and human resource issues, technical skills in information systems and quantitative analysis; and the ability to communicate, integrate and synthesize information and critical thinking skills to perform in a business environment. Students learn the functions of managing, planning, organizing, and leading employees. Upon completion students will receive an Associate of Applied Science Business Administration and Management degree.

Upon successful graduation from this program, graduates should be able to;

  • Understand the various components of contemporary business administration;
  • Communicate effectively and in a manner appropriate for a business setting;
  • Demonstrate practical proficiency in the use and application of current business hardware and software;
  • Operate current business technology;
  • Utilize project management skills;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of employment relationships;
  • Understand good customer service skills;
  • Understand the basic principles of finance and accounting; and coordinate a job search.
